We know nobody really likes to bring their car in for inspection. It's inconvenient and you're always worried that the inspector will find something wrong. However, here are a few tips to make things go a little easier.
- Make an appointment for a day that you can leave the car with us for the entire day. It usually takes less than an hour to do the inspection, but if you can leave the car with us for the day we can often get any necessary minor repairs completed in one day so that you won't have to return for a second visit.
- We need two documents. The registration and the proof of insurance. Both must be within date. There are some exceptions. If you registered your vehicle online & have not yet received your registration card in the mail you can print out & bring in the temporary registration card from the PennDot website. Can will accept in insurance binder in lieu of an insurance card.
- We can perform an inspection 90 days prior to expiration. Example, if your windshield sticker expires in December then we can inspect it in the months of October, November, and December. We will still affix the December sticker for the following year.
- A newly purchased vehicle that displays an expired inspection sticker has 10 days from date of purchase to be inspected. Bring the pink slip in with you.
- Please place all documents on the passenger seat if you drop the vehicle after hours.
